AMAZING
1st APPLE PANCAKE
The Original Pancake House, Eugene
I can't believe it, but this was better than Paula's Pancakes in Solvang! Oven baked with granny Smith apples and pure sinkiang cinnamon glaze. Worth the wait! Just phenomenal.
2nd PAULA'S SPECIAL
Paula's Pancake House, Solvang
We don't have to get on a plane for these, but we do have to drive over 2 hours. Worth it! The special comes with fruit and whipped cream on top. Bananas are not one of the choices on the menu, but they offered and I happily accepted! Just make sure to order the thick cut bacon on the side with this!
2nd PAULA'S SPECIAL
Paula's Pancake House, Solvang
My favorite. Have you noticed that my 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th favorite pancakes are all from Paula's? Yeah, it's that good.
3rd PAULA'S SPECIAL WITH APPLES
Paula's Pancake House, Solvang
I usually ask for bananas but I decided to have apples this time and they were just as delicious. Totally the reason why we come to Solvang
4th APPLE PANCAKE
The Original Pancake House, Redondo Beach
Oven-baked with fresh apples and pure Sinkiang cinnamon glaze
5th DANISH PANCAKE COMBO
Paula's Pancake House, Solvang
We drive hours early in the morning for these amazing pancakes. With whipped cream and DELICIOUS bacon!
5th DANISH PANCAKE COMBO
Paula's Pancake House, Solvang
Danish pancakes from Paula's... I cannot fully describe these to their credit . You really have to taste them to know. My family drives 2 hours to have these pancakes for breakfast. They do it willingly. Every member of my family . Solvang is a destination and a tourist location, but we really only visit it because we wanted Paula's Pancakes. This combo is with fresh strawberries. The Danish sausage is good, but their bacon is so much better. Worth it!
5th DANISH PANCAKE COMBO
Paula's Pancake House, Solvang
No fruit topping or whipped cream needed for me... just pancake perfection! And that beautiful thick bacon. Always worth waking up at 4:30 and driving 2 hours for.
6th DANISH PANCAKES
Paula's Pancake House, Solvang
Always wonderful. I don't think that's enough. Just calling it wonderful is not enough. We drive 2 hours for this breakfast! Oh no, now I want some in the morning...
7th DANISH PANCAKE COMBO - SAUSAGE PATTIES
Paula's Pancake House, Solvang
The BEST pancakes. The sausage patties are good...but not as good as the thick cut bacon
8th MAPLE CAKES
White Mountain Café, McCloud
Candied pecans, 100% pure Vermont maple butter and maple cream with house made sausage.
9th BANANA BERRY CHEESECAKE PANCAKES
Cici's Cafe, Los Angeles
Got this as part of the Chopper Combo with bacon and eggs. Banana pancakes topped with raspberry coulis, cream cheese mousse, whipped cream & almond crumble
10th VERY BERRY SOUFFLE PANCAKES
Cici's Cafe, Los Angeles
These pancakes (there are several different flavors) are hugely popular and difficult to get. This restaurant regularly has a huge wait and no parking. We go when it opens at 7:30am to be able to sit immediately. It takes 45 minutes to 1 hour for these pancakes and you can only get one per table. This morning, the person who makes them wasn't going to be there until 8am, so we waited an hour and a half for it. It became our table dessert. They are fluffy and they famously jiggle. If you are committed, you should try them. I will move on to other items next time.
11th DANISH PANCAKE COMBO - BLUEBERRIES
Paula's Pancake House, Solvang
My husband loved these, but this is MY board, so it is lower than other pancakes because I don't like blueberries.
12th MALTED MILK PANCAKES
Claudine Artisan Kitchen & Bakeshop, Los Angeles
cinnamon-berry compote, salted honey butter, Warm Maple Syrup and Bacon. Pancakes were large but fluffy and not cakey. Most liked dish we got.
REALLY GOOD
13th SWEDISH PANCAKES
The Original Pancake House, Redondo Beach
Served with imported lingonberries and whipped butter.
14th CHOCOLATE VELVET PANCAKES
Cici's Cafe, Los Angeles
These came with polish sausage and eggs as part of the Boeing combo. Really good, and that's impressive coming from me because I am not a chocolate fan.
16th LEMON CURD AND BLUEBERRY PANCAKES
The Butter House, Seaside
‍Lemon curd and fresh blueberries on top of two house recipe pancakes. Lemon curd was thin, but it totally worked.
17th DULCE DE LECHE CRUNCH PANCAKES
Denny's, San Bernardino
cinnamon crumb topping cooked into two buttermilk pancakes and topped with whipped cream. Served with two eggs and hash browns, plus your choice of two bacon strips or two sausage links and a side of warm salted caramel for drizzling.
18th NUTTY BUDDY
Cici's Cafe, Los Angeles
Bananas, macadamia nuts & coconut buttermilk pancakes My husband got these (with an upcharge) as part of the Concord combo. So much food!
